What does DCB – Discount Code Blocker do?+
DCB is a Shopify app that stops customers from applying discount codes to sale items (products with a compare-at price), all products, selected products, or products with specific tags. You can schedule blocking for sales.
Can I block all discount codes on Shopify during a sale?+
Yes. Choose “Block all discount codes” and optionally schedule start and end times. Your codes aren't deleted; they work again when blocking ends.
Can I still allow some codes?+
Yes. Allow selected discount codes, such as VIP or staff codes, while everything else is blocked.
Does it work with loyalty apps?+
DCB works with most loyalty apps, including Smile.io, LoyaltyLion, Yotpo, Growave, Joy and Rivo.
What happens if a blocked product is in the cart?+
Because of Shopify API limitations, the code won't apply to the whole order. You can show a custom error message in English, German, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil) or French.
